Long Beach Fire Suppression is a commercial fire protection contractor based in Long Beach, CA. We inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire suppression systems for business and industrial property, and that is the entirety of what we do. There is no residential side of the business competing for the same technicians, so a commercial inspection date booked with us is a date that holds.
Most buildings need four things looked after: sprinklers, fire alarms, portable extinguishers, and, where there is a kitchen, hood suppression. Splitting those between separate vendors is the normal arrangement and a poor one, because nobody ends up responsible for the building as a whole. We carry all four, which means one visit, one deficiency list, and one company answerable for the result.
Our Approach

An inspection is worth what its documentation can prove, so ours is built to be read by someone other than us. Every deficiency we note carries photo documentation and the code section behind it, which lets an owner see the condition without climbing a ladder and understand exactly why a repair is being recommended. It also draws a clear line between what the code requires and what we would merely suggest, so nobody pays for the second thinking it was the first.
When a building has more findings than one budget can absorb, we write a correction plan that prices each deficiency separately rather than presenting a single figure. That lets an owner clear the items with real consequence first and stage the rest across a budget cycle. The repairs are then completed by the same crew that performed the inspection, so the work begins with firsthand knowledge of the building instead of a second diagnosis billed before anything gets fixed.
The rest of it is logistics, and logistics is where most of the frustration in this trade actually lives. We track recurring inspection due dates so annual and semi-annual deadlines are not missed, schedule work around operating hours so kitchens, warehouses, and storefronts stay open, and coordinate access and shutdowns directly with property managers, owners, and tenants rather than leaving a building to relay messages between them. Operators running several locations across the metro get one schedule covering all of them. We know how the local fire authorities handle inspection, permit, and plan-check processes, which shortens the distance between finding a problem and being allowed to correct it. When a system is impaired or a building has failed an inspection, that moves ahead of routine work.
What We Do
We handle fire sprinkler installation, inspection, and repair, kitchen hood fire suppression, fire extinguisher service, fire alarm system installation, clean agent fire suppression, fire pump testing, and backflow testing. In practice that covers NFPA 25 testing of water-based systems, NFPA 72 alarm work, NFPA 96 and NFPA 17A kitchen systems, and NFPA 10 portable equipment, along with the deficiency correction that follows. If you need an inspection scheduled, a system brought back into compliance, or a straight answer about where a building currently stands, request a free estimate and we will take a look.
